Barolo Terlo is part of the cru (‘Menzione Geografica Aggiuntiva’) of the Commune of Barolo. The vineyard faces east. Its position, and the clayey limestone types of soil which are full of macro and microelements, bestow upon the Nebbiolo grapes which come from these vineyards an austere and powerful character. The property spans about one hectare and for 30 years the vineyard has been planted with vines derived from a selection of the sub-variety of Lampia and Michet. A Barolo with intense and fruity perfumes when young. It is characterised by a brilliant red with some hints of orange. The intensity of the tannin and dense texture are balanced out by a good structure, rich extract and a lightly accentuated acidity. The aroma of red fruits has a slight hint of herbs and jam. Excellent aging potential.
